Tokuzo was filled to capacity with a reported 250 in attendance
and the words 'Sold Out' written on the placard by the door.
This was done using an experimental OSS technique with the
microphones mounted on a central pillar anchored inside a
backpack. The microphones were on either side of, and slightly
behind my head. Phasing is evident due to uncontrolled dancing.
The meters show a significantly higher decibel reading for the
right channel. However, playback yields a fairly well balanced
stereo image. As per OSS techniques, no balance or individual
channel adjustments have been made in post.
The odd part is that the left channel seems quieter at all
points of the recording, even when the backpack was not on my back.
This suggests there may have been some other problem aside
from unscientific microphone placement.
